Information about Royer Associates
Royer Associates has been offering training classes for approximately 25 years. We currently teach between fifty and sixty week-long classes each year. Our major customers have included IBM, NSC, and the US Navy, as well as many smaller companies. We have been in business for this long, with very little marketing, because our classes are well received and highly valued. Each of our current instructors has between fifteen and twenty years of experience with computers, microprocessors, computer programming, and training.
We believe that people learn best in the hands-on training environment. Consequently, our classes place a very strong emphasis on lab work. We believe that students should actually demonstrate mastery of the material during the lab work. Royer Associates' seminars are useful to software engineers, hardware designers, technicians, and others who need an integrated view of PC architecture and the 80X86 CPUs. Over 5000 people have attended our seminars during the past 20 years.
Royer Associates is run by Dr. Jeffrey P. Royer, who received his Ph.D. in physics from Stanford University and was a professor of physics for approximately ten years before bringing his teaching experience to the world of computers. For the past 25 years he has taught and developed computer seminars, specializing in 80X86 and PC architecture. He is the author of Handbook of Hardware and Software Interfacing for IBM PCs.
